Default PiranhaMAX 170 accept quadrabeam transducer

I was wondering if the PiranhaMAX 170 would accept the quadra-beam transducer??

    I see the PiranhaMAX 180 has 3 cones, the 20 @ 200kHz and 2 35 @ 455kHz

    Fishing application:

lake crappie fishing with water depths primarily less than 20' and mostly less than 15'

river fishing with depths less than 15' and often less than 10'

You can check on HB website for what models the transducers are compatible with.

    Reeljustice,
No the PiranhaMax 170 cannot accept the QuadraBeam transducer. It does not have the electronic circuitry inside to be able to operate the other two side beams plus I believe that the plug on the back of the unit does not have the openings need for the additional pins that the QuadraBeam transducer has (5 pins) versus the DualBeam transducer (3 pins) that comes with the PiranhaMax 170. The only PiranhaMax unit we make that will work with the QuadraBeam transducer is the PiranhaMax 180 unit.
