797 transducer question

Seems I remember some posts on here about using the 997 transducer on the 797 , Did it improve the veiwing and if so do you know what the no of the ducer is ? Thanks

You should call customer service. I have a 797 at the console and a 787 up front. I was getting alot of interferance on my 787 from my trolling motor so I called them and told them what was going on. I had no problems at all out of my 797. Two day's later I got a box in the mail from them and it included a new transducer(the big one used with a 997) and lot's of other filters. It was sent free of charge. Might want to check it out.

i dont believe the 797 will show hi def so really it doesnt matter if you use the 997 ducer, it will work but you wont see the 800khz
