Purchased Minn Kota Power Drive V2 TM today. Thought long and hard about also buying the I-Pilot ($400.00). Decided to wait and learn more about it and also hope the price comes down. I was concerned about the fact that unlike the Terrova, once the I-Pilot is installed you can no longer use the foot pedal. I worried that if I get in a tight you can't stomp on the pedal and get the heck out of there. Now, here is where my thoughts get really twisted. The I-Pilot has a feature the co-pilot never had ,and that is a button you push (has the outline of a rabbit on it) and the motor immediately goes to a 10 setting, so maybe I'm worried about nothing. I also like the idea of getting the pedal and heavy cable out of my way on my smaller (16' Fisher). OK, I got a $50.00 mail in rebate, as well as a BPS $50.00 rewards card because of a promotional thing going on right now until March 21st. Whew! Just had to share my semi-excitement. Now all I need is a Humminbird SI with the new down imaging.
