I'm not sure but it sound like the pressure would be bad on your trolling motor housing where the motor turns the shaft. Lot of money to buy a Minnkota to take a chance on. Just something to think about.

My question is this, can I set the trolling motor down in the water and start to record a track while using your big motor. Just curious because it would be easier to just set the tm out and hit the record button and record a track while just motoring along with your big motor at say about 2.5 mph. I figure that would be easier for I can mark fish on graph and make another pass through them with the big motor while recording. Im talking about doing this under the dams in the river while fishing for sauger. I know you wouldnt want to do this where there is standing timber and structure that could whack your tm on. Thank your.....................Robin..

Just push in the release button and turn the motor on, drive slow, and hit record a track. Do it all the time. However speaking from experience, don't go too fast and don't do it in extremely big waves! The "bumps" might make the motor actually deploy!
Thanks for the above replies!!! That is exactly what I was wanting to know. So as long as the green light is on on the terrova that saids "ready" it can record even when its not deployed.............. Thats awesome and is exactly what I wanted to know!!! Thanks guys.................Robin Wash...
Just slide the locking collar all the way down and let it deploy. It can't hurt anything, the shaft would be straight up and the motor would be in mid-air. That way you could record a track at practically any speed you want.
