    Default Terrova 55 W/ I-Pilot Almost Here

My Terrova 55 W I-Pilot will be delivered Friday. Can't wait to get it installed and try it out. Anchor Express had a great deal, lowest price I have seen. $333 for I Piot & $693 for TM.

Default What size is your boat?

I'm getting ready to buy an I-pilot too. Mine is an 18' center console. I was thinking I needed about 70# but the formulas on the websites say I could get by with less. What size is your boat?

go with the most your budget will let you. that wind can be tough sometimes and it is good to have to much power than not enough when wind and current is not on your side. Just my 2 cents worth

I agree with Keith 100%. I have a 17 Ft Glasstream with a 70# on it. I wouldn't have anything less. You'll need this as a minimum on those windy days. Depending on the wind, I can fish 2-3 days on a single charge. I never could do that in my last boat with a 12V 55# thrust and the extra power will be just what you need. But I was well pleased with the 55# motor on my last boat, it was aluminum and that was all I needed.

I felt like a kid at Christmas waiting on mine. You will not be dissappointed. You got a great deal too.

Just get him on, then we'll worry about getting him in!

I have a Triton 1750 w/ a 90 hp 2 stroke. I actually wanted a bigger TM 80FP to be exact but my boat is rigged for 12 v & they didn't leave enough room to get another battery in there. I looked at other options to put a second battery but decided to keep my dry storage. I tried it out this past weekend and it works fine in 10 -15 mph winds for my boat. I updrade from a MG 43 FP so I'm happy with my purchase. I'd recommend getting the biggest, extra power always comes in handy.

I am awaiting delivery of a Terrova 80# with i-pilot. I have an 18' boat also. You can stay on the water much longer with the bigger motor, it doesn't have to work as hard therefore increasing run time on a single charge. I have a 70# fc motor now and have trolled two days without a charge. I know people with smaller 12v motors who can't troll over 6 hours on a charge.

    Default Thanks!

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'll be ordering one real soon. Thanks too for the tip about Anchor Express. They have the best prices I've found as well.
