Minnkota adapter cable

I have a minnekota 12v 55# thrust t.m. universal sonar 1 and I want to buy a fish finder with gps and color( you know, step into the 21st century technology:D) but I am having a hard time trying to find an adapter cable that will connect from the tm to the fish finder. I've checked with minnekota and the list of fish finders didn't include any of the newer units( the Eagle Elite 642ci gps is the one I'm interested in) so it seems I'll have to change trolling motors or bypass the universal sonar and mount the transducer on the t.m. head which defeats the purpose of having the universal sonar. Any ideas would be apprerceiated. Thanks, Doug

You could (I prolly would) buy an adapter that plugs into the US2 cable and hard splice (solder connect and heat shrink insulate) the existing Tx cable that plugs into the Eagle to the corresponding wires on the US2 adapter.

You just need to know the pinouts for the sonar and temp (if the Eagle has temp)... match the positive sonar from the Eagle to the positive sonar on the adaper... negative to negative etc.
