I have been checking out these uits to replace one of the units that have been aggravating me.(See post on transducer splicing) anyway. It comes highly recommended by co-workers, but I fish in about 6-18 feet of water most of the summer with the occasional deeper depths (up to 50 feet)

Anyway, is this unit overkill for my application? I that too much power?
