    Default Which Fuse/Circuit Breaker?!?

Finished mounting the PD V2 55# with I-pilot today. Now it needs wiring to the battery and I have a question. I need to know what you guys use for the fuse holder on the hot wire to the battery. I was assuming just an in-line fuse holder with a 60 amy fuse, but read somewhere to use a fuse/circuit breaker?!? Pics wont hurt either. Will also need to know where to buy what's needed.

You are correct. The book does call for a 60 amp. I used a 50 amp in line fuse in mine because a Minn Kota Dealer said that the PD V2 draws 52.3 amps when it is at full speed and that is what he recommended. At 50 amps, the fuse should blow before any damage would be done but a 50 or 60 amp will be fine...I was looking for a circuit breaker instead of a fuse holder for the simple reason of just resetting the breaker versus changing a fuse, but a fuse holder was all I could find at the time and I was ready to go fishing. The fuse holder is cheaper than the circuit breaker. Mine is just an in line fuse holder...Nothing fancy..Hope the pictures help....Tim
