    Default transom ducer on the trolling motor???


    Has anyone ever mounted a transom mount transducer a under a trolling motor? I'm assuming this will work???

    People do it all the time....Just get you a ducer bracket for a TM an install with a large hose clamp.

    I figured it was normal practice. I assume the "dome" end is the end facing the direction I would be moving. Just like it is on the rear.

    I believe Cabelas has a trolling motor bracket made just for this.

    Your right. When you mount it angle it toward the front just a little...in other words you want the back just a little bit lower than the front.

    here is the way i mountedmine after i cut the cable on my trolling motor ducer accidentally you dont have to purchase any thing to do it this way works great

    i have my transducer on the bottom of my trolling motor and i turn on the shallow alarm on the depth finder so i dont smash the tranducer on the rocks or logs
