    Default Hb Vs Lowrance Di

The proof is in the pictures. Taken from a guy with an HDS8 and an 1197 on the same boat, passing over the same structure. Doug V, an HB sponsored pro from MO get's a little ticked over the results. But the pictures don't lie.

So, Mike - you probably don't feel as bad selling me your old electronics now... Man, that Lowrance has a GREAT view!

LOL. It was a good buy for you, and forced me into a decision. I probably won't buy the SI transducer for the Lowrance for a while. I'm going to go SI free for a few months and see how I like it. But clearly Lowrance is getting WAY better results.

It's easy to say you are the best in the biz when you are the only one that has it, but HB can't say that any more. There will def. be some sort of upgrade from HB sooner then later. I'm actually surprised they didn't push the realease off to buy more time. That would have caused a revolt though.

As a word of caution. Looks like either will get job done. Comparing apples to apples Humminbird costs less for same amount of features. On customer service Humminbird is way out in front.

Nothing is more frustrating than having your 1500-3000 dollar unit tied up at the factory for months. Web is full of complaints about Lowrance's customer service. I will admit the prettier picture is in Lowrances favor. BUT for me personally my money is staying with the people I know will take care of me.

Any doubt call lowrances service department than call humminbirds service number.

Can't wait to try the side by side myself. Might have know ol Vanahoot would be crying about fairness. Typical turd plugger.

As I stated previously. HB may be 5 years ahead in production ,but not in technology.

    We will be fair.

Lowrance Has great prroduct but I will go go with Humminbird. pRODUCT is good when its working. When product has problems is when customer service comes in to play.Humminbird is my choice or Vexilar when it comes to sonar. A good working Lowrance out of the box is great . If not God help you.
