My 89 Tournament V17 came with a Hummingbird 60 ft. flasher.
Still works like a "Swiss watch".

You know, painter...I just bought a 94 Tracker from another CDC member, and I have the same situation - it's right by the windshield, and you can tell it's where an old flasher was... I'm not crazy about he holes either - BUT - here's my plan...

Went to the dollar store, bough a 6"x6" plastic tupperware type box with latching lid. Going to put it on the console, mark through 4 of the small holes with a sharpie and drill through the plastic container... Then take 4 small screwes and nuts and attach it to the console.

May not look too fancy :p, but, I will be able to put my cell phone, digital camera, wallet, and car keys all in there while I'm out boating and latch the lid closed. It will keep all that stuff dry and out of my way AND it will cover up all the holes from the original flasher!! When I get it installed, I'll try to post pictures....

    Good idea.
It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

Got this small project done. Had to change the plans a bit, as there was no real easy way to access the space below the console... this part is set a bit forward, and there are too many wires and a piece of wood blocking the access... SO, instead, I just used size 6, 1/8" screws to attach. Still used the existing holes that were there, but the screws were just big enough to actually catch very solid. I think I put about 5 in and feel like it's not going to fall off (and if it does, it should float long enough for me to get it back!). The plastic piece I got has a latching lid, and I got one that is used for steaming, so it has a little tab on the top that you can open for venting... Not sure I'll need that, but thinking if it's really hot in the summer, some air would be helpful if it will work that way

Trying to attach some pics, never done that before...

Here it goes! Won't work, I will try to size these down so they will fit : ) Hopefully pics coming soon
