If you did not purchase the PC connection kit then yes you will a SD card. I use the PC cable and load my units with my laptop on my work bench, I have a small 12 VDC power supply to power the units.Quote:

Then install the SD card in your unit and power it up, it should notice the upgrade file and upgrade the unit for you.( I think I have never done it with the SD card.) Yep, everything looking good so far but , no way to try GPS out except maybe taking unit for a walk on frozen lake to see if it can/will find its own waypoints-Here's hoping...........................:eek:

From any view press the MENU button twice to access the tabbed Main Menu System then press the RIGHT cursor key until the Setup tab is selected. Press the DOWN cursor until Restore Defaults is highlighted on the Setup menu. Use the RIGHT 4-way cursor control key to initiate restoring defaults. The Confirm dialog box will appear. To reset the defaults, press the RIGHT Cursor key once more. To cancel Restore Defaults, press the Left Cursor key.
Still no 797 update. :( Did have one for my 787 though. I'm giving HB a grade of 50% today.
