    Default Broke Trolling Motor

My cousin bought a boat over a year ago that had a newer minn kota trolling motor, I have no idea how many lbs thrust it is and it is not working. He had a smaller trolling motor and I thought mine was to big so we traded. He is happy and so am I. He still has the broke one. I have not worked on but he has some. We are not mechanics. He said that one of the clyinoids are messed up. What would it take to fix it if his diagnosis is correct.

Is there even such a thing has cylinoids on a TM? Can you buy different pates for a MK? I guess I need to get the make and lbs thrust on the motor. I'm gonna try and look at it this week sometime

call the tm mech at grizzlyjigs.com. He might be able to help you and they have MK parts. Or look around where you live. Lots of repair shops that repair TM's.

Thanks. I am not real sure what is gonna b the fate of this TM but it seems like a waste to just let it set there.

No solenoids in a trolling motor. PM me your e-mail address and I will send you Minnkota's service manual.
