I have a couple of stuck pixels on my 997. Can I use the warm cloth and eraser pressure on power up method to fix the stuck pixels, or do you (HB-men) recommend another method?
Yes, I know they are stuck.
Also, what is your acceptable bad pixel count for new screens?

Tom,
I have not seen any pixel problems with our displays. This is a new one for me. I do not know anyway to solve the problem without sending your unit in for service.
I have several red screen dots that won't wash off. So, I know it is a stuck pixel. On lcd screens, you can take a pointed dull instrument and touch the spot at power up and un-stick the pixel. You can also generate more stuck pixels too.:o
It is hard to tell dead pixels from dirt.
Don't want to give my unit up till I see the Down imaging and GPS stuff. I look daily for the upgrade.

I ain't never had a stuck pixel, but the neighbors dog got his pixel stuck once. That's how I learned about the birds and the bees. I figure a humminbird would be too quick to get his pixel stuck.
Quit complaining about the color, just pull up your skirt and fish! -- snagged
CP, I have a small flat screen LCD TV on my computer desk that has two spots that have been described to me as "dead pixels". Some are supposed to be accectable but don't know the formula for what is acceptable.

I can't even try to fix the stuck pixel on my 997 because of the glass. Can't touch the screen. That's a good thing though.
