1197ci Si verses 1197c Si

I think I read somewhere that the "i" in 1197ci means "Internal GPS receiver"..

Has anyone that owns a 1197ci had to return the unit to HB just because of a problem with the internal GPS receiver...??

That would help me decide whether to buy the 1197ci Si or the 1197c Si....

I may have answered my own question by more research.....

Am I correct that the 1197 only comes with the external GPS receiver..??

C is an external GPS Puck (best option) CI is internal and will not be located near your transducer (unless you plan on either using a TM mount and have the CI up front ot the screen mounted on/near your transom) causes a shift in your image and your gps plot.

The 1100, 900 and soon 800 series units all use external GPS Receivers only. There are no internal GPS Receviver versions of these units.
