Default best place to mount new 798c SI

Would it be better placed in the steering console and the transducer transom mounted with the puck there as well?

    OR

mounted up on the casting deck with the transucer mounted on the TM and the puck on the bow?

    OR

transducers and pucks in both places and 2 docking stations and one 798 and move it up front when I start fishing?

I have been pondering the same thing the past few days. Right now I have an Eagle GPS and HB 565 mounting in the front of my boat and a HB 717 mounted at the console. Now that my 798 is on the way, I am thinking that I am going to put the 798 up front and go with the transducer on the trolling motor since that is where I spend most of my time at, and move the Eagle GPS to the console with my HB 717 for #1...Navigating from point A to point B and monitoring the water depth and #2...Giving my fishing partner something to look at so he can monitor depth and speed if I happen to be busy (catching fish:D )and not paying attention to what I am doing. Sounds practical for me and my fishing conditions...I guess the new HB 565 I just put on this Summer will go into the closet for a back-up unit....Guess I'll see how it will all come together next week....Good Luck!

I have decided to mount in the console and add a TM mounted dual beam up front with a second docking station.

Allows me to scout with the Merc and still use it to fish with.
