Default Lowrance Side and down of bed

Here are a couple of pics of one of our 4' x 8' crappie beds. Caught four crappie out of the bed after I took these pics. Still learning how to use this thing but lovin' every minute of it!

If you buy a Lowrance, go as big as you possibly can. I have the HDS 7 and I wish I had the 8 but just couldn't possibly swing it. The 7 won't do the three/four way screen split plus the 8 has the shortcut buttons. I wouldn't advise buying the HDS 5 for use with Structure Scan. It works but the screen is just too small.

Sixfin, can you cursor over on the side view and mark waypoints
like the "other guys"? I mean I'd think so, but I haven't heard it yet...

    Sixfin,
Do you know why the "bottom image" is different in the creek channel? It seems to be alot wider.(Maybe a harder bottom} I am referring to the downscan image.

    Jwhite,
Yes, you can cursor over and mark waypoints. The trick to it is to have your GPS antenna close to your transducer. If you don't have them close, you have a built in offset that you have to contend with.
    Crappiecrazy,
The downscan was taken on a different pass, from a different angle. Thats why things don't seem to jive.

In downscan looks like your propwash to the left of the bed. Is this correct?

Where did you get your LSS-1 from and how long did you wait? Looks like I need to get one.

Yes Speck, you are correct. That is propwash. I had put my name on a list at Jet-A-Marina. Give'em a call. They were getting them in pretty quick.
