Yea I saw those but was looking for something more permenant but able to stow it in the boat as well, maby like a fold down mount of some type. I have heard of them being mouted to a heavy hose. In that case it would remain deployed just under the water during use and raised up by the bow rise while running.

    Default I had same problem....

I cut down an old Motor Guide bracket. Transducer mounted on a pvc pipe and now deploys and lifts like a trol motor. Works fine.

Paperwork in my lowrance told me I could mount it to shoot thru the hull from up front. Never crossed my mind. Would work in my boat by mounting it almost directly under the front seat. Some sensitivity loss is to be expected. Just some input.

    It is my lift rope.

I didn't have any rope handy. Just haven't changed it out yet. It only been on for 6 months. I will git to it sooner or later.

This contraption does work fine. Easy to deploy and stow. Hey, it a Jon boat.:p
