Question HB GPS Receiver - AS GR50

This may have already been asked, if so please forgive me and point me to the post, but if not, I was wondering if once we have the 997 upgrade will we need to get the AS GR50 GPS Receiver to take full advantage of the increased "refresh" rate of the GPS?

    Thanks in Advance, HV

    Nope Rapprunner you don't.

For the faster GPS refresh rate you need three things:
1.) A GR16, GR50 or GRHA GPS Receiver (internal GPS Receivers are included in this as well).

2.) The unit has to have the 4.700 or higher software running in it.

3.) The GPS Receiver has to be directly connected to the unit. This direct connection can be with the GPS Receiver:
a.) physically plugged into the COM port on the unit.
b.) plugged into the NMEA-COM connector on the AS-YC connector and the COM connector on the AS-YC physically plugged into the COM port of the unit.
c.) plugged into the SysLink cable and one of the NMEA-COM connectors physically plugged into the COM port on the unit.
