    Default Lowrance HDS transducer ?????

I see alot of the HDS units are sold with out a transducer. My question is are the ducers the same as some of the older units. I have a 332C right not with a shoot through hull ducer already in the boat. I also have an extra ducer that came with my 510C. Could save some money and the hassle of mounting another shoot through ducer if the ones I have will work with the new unit.

According to the accessories list all 3 of those units use the same transducers.

The HD's have the ability to perform on 200 MHZ and 83MHZ at the same time to give you a split screen with two different angles of viewing. Check to make sure that the transducer also has both frequencies listed or you might be a little disappointed. Experience taught me that...:o

The HDS transducer is the standard 200KHz transducer that the 520 etc. use. The HDS uses both 200KHz and 83KHz with the standard transducer ,so you won't find a Lowrance transducer that says it works at 83KHz.
