Lowrance 522igps update ?

was wondering if any one took the update on ther unit and what do you think of it

well looks like this didn't bring much interest

i was having an issue with mine losing depth in shallow water and after putting the 2.5.0 update on my 522 it seems to of fixed it.

I just downloaded the update to SD card, but Lowrance 522c is not recognizing files on SD card. Any suggestions????????

re-read how to install it, there is 2 ways

i downloaded the update to my computer then ran the setup file and saved to my SD card, once its on their install it in your ff and turn it on and it will install

I just bought my 522 about three months ago. I forget how you check to make sure the undate was already installed but anyways, I checked it and it was already loaded. I'm glad too. Mine is working fine and I dont want to be messing around with it.

so yours came with the 2.5.0 ?

i got a new head unit about the same time the new software came out and i had the older software on it.

your right if it isn't broke do mess with it

The update is copied to SD card. When I put in 522 unit it does not auto download. I went into setup file on 522 and shows no file on mmc card?
I'm confused.

your ff has to be off when to insert your sd disk in your unit, them turn it on

if you take your sd card and read it on your computer does it show any of those files ?

try to download it again , maybe it was corrupt

Mine shows the three files and it still will not load the update... Have tried it 2 or 3 times. I am still looking for the problem. Will report back when and if I find it...
