    Question Trolling Motor Shaft Length?


    From where to where do you measure the length of a trolling motor shaft? I have a chance to get a new trolling motor at a really good price but I am not sure if the shaft will be long enough. Can anyone help me on this?

    I have always just measured the shaft itself. In other words from the bottom of the head to the top of the motor.
    I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

    That is the proper way to measure from what I have been told.
