    Default trolling motor prop

After a recent rainstorm i noticed my trolling motor(motorguide 30) running and the prop is now 3/4" shorter on each blade(2 blade Ninja) went to ww and they had 2 and 3 bladed props each with it's reason for being better. Went to the flea market today and there was a 4 bladed prop again saying how good it was-- it was indeed good price wise $5.00, so which is the better prop to use? 2, 3 or 4 blades? am trying to spider rig for speckled perch(crappies).--shu

Didn't know they even made a 4 bladed one for TMs. I tried one of the 3 bladed on my Minnkota once but couldn't tell the difference from the stock 2 bladed one.

Typically, more blades is more weedless, fewer blades a little more powerful.

    shuorc,

bought a new boat and had a motor-guide on it and i was used to the minn kota. could not get the "guide to run slow enough to suit me. called a local trolling motor business and the guy told me that the four bladed weed prop would have as much as 30 percent less thrust. never tried it but this guys suppose to know what he's talking about.
