    Default Lowrance Structure Scan

More details, but no pricing information.

    StructureScan | Lowrance

I really like the Downscan that gives you a "picture" in the form of a normal sonar return.

Much more obvious what you are over.

From reports by owners of the new HD units, Lowrance might be better off getting them right, rather than putting out the side imaging. They are looking more and more like OMC when they put out the Ficht motor with all it's problems. OMC never recovered and went bankrupt. This is no time for a product to get a blackeye in the marine industry. Even the best are failing. Raymarine which builds excellent products is on the verge of going under.
Added this under the edit. They are some really sharp images on the screen snapshots, and I'd love to have one, but???

I'm more inclined to the Lowrance version for the simple image it gives. Most anyone could read these without the learning curve. As far as getting the HDS right, I'll need to do some deeper research. All of the folks I've heard from like their HDS and have had no problems. Can you tell me where to access the consumer reports dealing with the problems. Also interested in Lowrance's response to said problems. Thanx.

I have to say i like that lowrance is going to have that bottom scan option on there unit. That will make a huge difference with the crappie industry.

Just Left The Icast Show In Orlando. Talked To Lowrance Reps Yesterday And Took Some Pictures Of Their Unit Annd Transducer. Iwas Told That The Side Scan Unit Will Cost About $600 To Add To Your Hd Unit. Will Try And Send Some Pictures When I Get Home In Couple Of Days.
