Default Humminbird 777c2 question for the electronic guru's

Is there any way I can add a transducer to my trolling motor and have both the transom mounted and trolling motor mount show up as a split screen on the 777c2?

    Just wondering

No there is not. The Humminbird unit uses the same connections for both the 200 and 83kHz signals and would only be able to accept an input from one transducer at a time.

They should make an A/B switch so you could look at one or the other. But not both at the same time.

There is an A/B switch available (TS2-W) but this would not allow for both to be viewed on a split screen. To do this would take a complete redesign of the unit as it would need additional transmitter and receiver circuitry and well as an additional transducer connector.

Hey Greg, does the 987 transducer plug fit the 997 unit?

Sounds like a good idea. While we at it, why not a variable sweep transducer?

Let you pick your own frequency. A little multiplexing and you could have several screen shots on the same screen. You could make the receiver auto ranging.

Would I connect both transducers to the A/B switch and then connect switch into the monitor?

I could then switch back and forth between the two images correct?

How hard is it to wire something like that in? does it come with connections to connect to the transducers/monitor or do I have to cut& splice

Tom, let me know if you have any other questions.

Chaunch, yes the 987’s transducer (XHS-9-Si-160-T) transducer will plug into the 997 unit. Set the 997’s Transducer select menu to the “Sidescan” setting.
