Since I have never installed a fish finder I thought I could get some help from the "MEGA-BRAINS" that surf these boards.

I bought a Humminbird 160 several months ago but the directions for mounting the transducer had me walking in circles until I realized my head was up my butt.

The directions say to put the transducer in a spot that is away from turbulent water while moving. I am not sure of where that is on my boat because of the way the bottom is shaped.

Should I just put in the area where the screw already are, or should I move some where else?
