Default H20 Color or B/W with Nav card

I am considering the Lowrance h20 gps unit. Does the color read speeds below 1 mph? Some have told me to get the B/W as it easier to read in the daytime. Any ideas or suggestions.

Have not seen a B/W model, so I can't comment on how easy it is to read. My color isn't too bad as long as you keep it out of direct sunlight. Mine does not read speeds below 1mph.

The fact that the color does not read below 1 mph pretty well eliminates it. I know the B/W will read as low as .5 and maybe lower. A friend showed me that.

I was using mine in the boat, and that is one of the reasons I upgraded to two 520c's networked. I drag jigs for walleye quite a bit and need to get down to .3-.7mph most of the time. Plus the 520's are easier to read and have a bigger screen. But I still use my iFinder for trips to Canada and Lady Evelyn Lake. Put the Canada Navionics chip in it and it works fine for the week we spend up there. Plus it is perfect for ice fishing.

I have a b/w version and it will read down to .4 or so. I never really could understand why color would be preferred on such a small screen in the first place.

When you get it go to Lowrance.com and make sure that it is running the most current software version and check for any of your local lakes in the free enhanced maps too.
