When fishing a new lake?

When fishing a lake for the first time, how do you attack it from start to finish?

Before I even o to the lake I will get a good topo map , look for areas that look good to me then target those areas for visual structure! If there is no visual structure i will go to my eletronics to find structure under the surface to locate the crappie that other anglers may not find !
