Sounds like plastic is browning. What are you referring to when you say pot, a presto pot? Also if you have it constantly heating you will need to be stirring it.

I always heat my plastisol to 350 then back it down to 300 to 310 , add my color then glitter [if used ]. this seems to work well on darker colors, but on the lite colors especially white or chartreuse the baits get darker and darker the longer they are left in the pot. Any sugestions on what to do to keep the plastic from darkening. I do use stabilizer and it seems to help for a short time.
What am I doing wrong?

How long is it sitting in the pot for?
in the pot for maybe 45 min. to an hour tops as I shoot all my molds as many times as I can before the color starts to change, then try to use up the rest making the darker color
Who's plastic are you using

Do you add stabilizer after so long?
I do add stabilizer and add it again every 30 to 45 minutes. I think my problem is in the plastic that I am using. I will order some good stuff as soon as I find out what the good stuff is . and use this stuff for black or dark purple
I listened to several about do it essentials. Wrong. Get ya some baitjunkies premium degassed and don't look back.
When it comes to plastic everyone, there are 3 companies I have used and in the past 8 years that have had a VERY consistent product.
The plastic you buy at *********s (the degassed is a major benefit). I used the same plastic for a few years, incredibly consistent.
Spike It's plastic, I have been using for 3 years I think, every drum has been the same.
MF, you rarely hear about bad batches with these guys too.
Just something to think about.
