Crappie Beaver

Attachment 242054 this is my go to bait. I hook it thru the side where it sits upright looking more like a shad. The tail is connected but can be split where both pieces move independently. I fish where the water is murky to muddy so the colors work good. catch a lot of 13 to 15 inch fish on it. I use a 1/4 road runner head and use it vertical jigging. Catch walleye on it consistently dipping trees for crappie.

I think you are right I do have one real similar that we call the Texas bug.

Anything with legs or tentacles would be a no go for me when fishing for crappie. 2.5-2.75".

it is a 2 5/8 brush slider made by Bonehead baits. Looks like they only make a 2" now
