Default Northern Pike caught on Shipahoy41 lures (Photo)

I made some four inch paddle tail yellow perch for Jerry Lewis who was planning a fishing trip to Pipestone Lodge in Ontario Canada. Jerry is from Kansas City. This is his report to me I received by email yesterday.....

Caught this baby on the big perch paddle tail you made for me.

Gonna use it some more. 100% chance of rain today."

That top picture looks almost as though it were a Muskie. The barring on the body looks vertical, not horizontal like a northern. I say almost because the lines are thin and hard to discern, then the lighter flank color and white belly make me want to say Muskie too. The shape of the head has Muskie written on it. Nice fish regardless.

Congrats on cooking up a winning bait Mike.

I just posted what Jerry sent to me in the email. Those are his words...not mine. I have not fished for or ever caught a Muskie or a Pike. I hooked one once DAVID BUT IT SOON BROKE MY 6LB LINE. YES, i WAS FISHING FOR CRAPPIE AND NOT TOOTHY CRITTERS. lol I am a crappie fisherman and proud of it.

good for you Mike I don't have any thing that big for musky pickerel or pike I do have a 4 inch skirt for bass but I do not have anything else for bigger fish most of my stuff is for crappie I know I have a big demand for Bass baits but it would take a lot of money to get geared up to get into that side of making plastic bait.
