Default Debate.....Jump into the game and if so need some guidance?

Need some help. I pour, paint and tie a lot of jigs for hobby and friends (gills/crappies). If I jump into plastics.....have been reading and watching youtube for about a year. I am looking for the guidance here on what injectors most are using here. I do not know what company's for injectors are the escorts vs the caddy to understand what I am getting for my money. What mold companies....basstackle, Bear, Jacobs. Then what company's are you purchasing plastics and colors.

Appreciate all the help this site has always been very supportive to helping others get started and better.

Hands down essentials plastic from do-it. Can be heated and reheated multiple times with out yellowing. X-2 colorant from do-it, a little goes a long way. As far as molds its all what you want to make per the company your dealling with. this is my personal opinion from what I have personally used.Dave

Molds are all over and you're pretty much able to find quality from any of the major cutters. Do-It offers a sand cast mold series that makes great baits for way less jing. Jacobs has a dandy injector with a twist lock nozzle feature that is really pretty fool proof and safe. Do-It again is at the top of my list for the plastic and sundry components that go into it, like their X2 colorants, hi lite and pearl powder, glitters and glow pigments. The glow pigments are superior quality and don't forget the uv powder that Do-It sells...its all alone at the top of the uv heap in quality. The Essential plastic is very heat tolerant and easy to work with. The Essential was developed with the beginner in mind but an awful lot of serious injectors have switched to it too. That alone should vouch for the Essential plastic.

I use Essentials plastic, x2 colorant, spike it glitter, various molds mostly do it and Jacobs, and bass tackle injector.
