The Bomb!

Ma started her sewing machine right off this morning so that gave me a hall pass to play. lol I've been trying to top off a box of walleye baits that are still in the crappie size range and have been fussing with colors....which to make. I have an assortment of after-market pearl powders that can be used as hi lites in tiny amounts and dug those out along with a bottle of brown watermelon colorant. Adding a little of this and a little of that and then tweaking the watermelon color and here's what I came up with....

billygee
Those are NICE!!
Billygee, the bait is a 3" number. Walleyes/sauger like the bait. I've taken lots of sauger using this in deeper, cold water. Walleyes have hit it well on shallow sand in the cold water. This is a great late-season, cold water bait for the large crappies in the late fall when the water temps start downhill in earnest.
