I hipped up some plastic the other day using an aftermarket glitter and it bled like crazy. Actually I made two different colors of plastic using only the glitters to get different effects and got two different colors of plastic altogether. Both cups of te bled plastic have been sitting on the work bench since and today I got a wild hair, mixed the two together and shot the plastic into my 1.5" Thump-It mold using a chartreuse tail. I like the result. Next will be a 2.5" Thump-It sporting a chartreuse tail for smallies. I can see this combination just driving smallies nuts.

Here's a few of the 2 1/2" Thumps in the same color pattern along with the ones shown in the opening post picture. Baits the size of this 2 1/2" one are super walleye and sauger baits. Probably going to be better on sauger than eyes but the eyes might like it in low light. I see the crappies getting all over this if we have some high water that dirties up some. As the water drops and clears a little the crappies will tear this apart. It'll be good during low light too.
Great looking baits Tom, does that happen to the cheap glitter always? also I read some where that some glitter that is alluminum can shatter your glass cups. any insite into this? Thanks Dave
Those will get the job done.
I'm a sucker for color and glitter offers a lot of it. Most all glitters sold in craft or fabric stores will tell you if it is a polyester glitter or a metal glitter. I don't by anything that is metal. As for bleeding, if you buy a glitter from any source other than some place that sells glitter specifically to be used in plastic, expect some bleeding issues. Once in a while I find one that is colorfast but not often does that occur. One way around using some of this bleeding stuff is to add it when the plastic has been brought to injecting temperature, as in right before you inject. You can maybe get a couple shots off before the color starts changing.
Glitter is a component that can be frustration at its finest
Fine looking grub, very nice
Most men spend their entire life fishing, without realizing its not the fish they are after!
Nice! My light em up color I make uses a blue jean glitter from Hobby Lobby that bleeds like no other. Looks like your red but blue instead.
