Between Saturday and Sunday of last weekend we lost it all. We had rain all day Sunday and 53 degrees too. 50's were all the way up to the Canadian border. Then Sunday evening the wind shift came, the rain turned to ice pellets and then snow so yesterday I had to do a little shoveling and then last night we got just enough snow again to have to scratch it off again this morning. 5 above right now. Blue sky, but 5 above....and wind.

ctom won't be too much longer and you will be ice fishing pour down rain this morning about 40° its full to keep on raining for over a week in the temperatures will stay in the 40s .

I pretty much quit ice fishing Bob....too many falls and I'm not getting younger. Ice fishing is for you young and dumb.

I don't think I would ever attempt to ever try it I heard too many horror stories but it is a national event up in your region of the world it is a industrial by itself is far as making stuff for ice fisherman we could make ice jigs a lot of soldering involved but you can buy the blades pre-hook and do a lot of painting.

Don't even bother trying to break into the ice arena Bob. Everything is Chinese today and attempting to compete with the big $$$$ guys is a waste of time and money. I know of two one-time very well off tackle makers who stepped into the ice arena and lost it all in a single season. I sold all of my ice gear and have stopped all of my correspondence with ice companies. I don't miss it a bit. And the ice contests.....drunks prevail. And corrupt....every year we hear of someone slipping a fish in the weigh-ins that was brought into the contest from else where. These people get caught and its a felony because of the high dollar prize structure, but how many don't get nabbed? I leave the ice alone and in the hands of fools.

I for one am not set up for ice tackle ctom I don't stand a candle to any of the big boys and don't want to be that big I do it strictly is a hobby and nothing else .
