All three of these baits in 2 or 3 inch would be killer on a local lake here in Ohio. This color combo seems to just kill the big crappie.

I'm shooting the tail color in full baits, but where we differ Bob is that I cut a slice off the rear of the body. This allows for a super good weld when the tails get the next color. Sunfish love to smack the tails rip them off regardless of how good the weld is when just that thin ribbon is being welded.
I just slowly open the mold keeping baits on one side of the mold. Hold down on the tail and pull the body off. What I call slow probably isn't slow to others. I was doing a lot of baits in a round. I was doing a minimum of 200 cavities in a round which is 20 molds of the flapjack. Anytime a tail would stick to the wrong side just slowed the process. Best thing I found was to wipe the top side every other shoot with a good cotton rag.
you don't have to slowly open the molds the way I do it too bad we didn't live closer I would definitely show you what I'm talking about but I think you know pretty well what I'm talking about I didn't know you had that many of that flip Jack molds we might pick up three more of the what I call the Texas wiggler. three more of the 2.5 and we are thinking about going to the bigger ones I would like to see this one in a 6 inch use it drop shopping for bass.
You were not playing....?.you were quite serious. You and Bob are good. Both of you will be responsible for sending crappie to the dentist to get metal removed from their mouth after they eat your products guys.
Y'all got skills!
Bob, I believe your Texas wiggler will outperform your icecicle line. Back in Ohio I used the fish with a ribbon tail like that on Lake Erie by the Sandusky power plant and it would knock the snot out of the Walleye.
Its nice to see you back Ship!
good to see ya posting Ship
Actually the bait is nothing like Mikes, in action or looks. The bait is designed by me from the ground up without going in to boring details about how liquid move neutral properties and blah blah blah this bait perfected what others over looked . Attention to details is what makes this bait. I've been obsessed with lure design since childhood and studying how baits move in water. This bait was years in the design process. It may look like a simple design but there are several aspects of this bait that if over looked or not done right it would be just another paddle tail. There are many baits that are amazing fish catchers like the one Mike makes but compared side by side the Mo magic makes em all disappears :@)
