Hey, buddy .... since you describe yourself as a "Sodbusting Scalywag Extrordinair", then why not call this paddletail grub the "SCALYWAG" ... or if you prefer to be more grammatically correct, you could call them "Scalawags" or "Scallywags".
Then again ... if you think about it, "scaly-wags" could refer to them having "scales" and they "wag" !!! The "scales" (scaly) part could reference the beaded body form ... or glitter could always be added for effect. The "wag" part is obvious ... that paddletail definitely wags !!
Still haven't had a chance to put your baits to work, but when I do ... I'll let you know how well they do for me !! That might well be as soon as next weekend, at one of our Fruit Jar Tourneys.

What blue are you using to get "see through"?
Bears Royal blue. About 3 drops. That blue is strong and You have to stay lite on the color or it darkens up really quick. I went to heavy (10 drops) on my first attempt to get that color. It looked good in the cup but when I did a test shot, it was too dark. I started over and just did 2 drops and it was a little weak so tried 3 and it seemed to be the right amount.
You could probably use Lurecraft's California Blue and get the same effect. It is a strong blue too. Just go lite and use a true shade of blue colorant. Bear's marine blue will not get You that color. It is weaker, takes a lot more colorant, and the shade will never match.CF
