Default Dying jigs after the fact

Have a particular Mid South tube that I just love. Its kindda a clear/off white tail with blue flake and a Royal Blue body. Problem is, last spring I was in there stocking up and the fella told me they didn't make that color any more. Naturally, I bought all that he had left, and am now running low myself. I have found several jigs, (Joker Jig, Crappie Magnet, and even Mid South) that are a solid color that is the exact color I need for the tail. So I'm wondering is there any way that I could take one of those jigs and dip the head in a blue dye and color it? Thanks for your help.

Have you tried "Spike it" http://www.academy.com/webapp/wcs/st..._BNG_002406742

I know I use it sometime to change tail colors so I would imagine you could use it on the head. It does bleed a little so be careful. Use forceps or tweezers to dip it into the jar so you do not get coloring all over you.

If you had the mold you could just cut the head off the lure, make up a new batch of plastic in the color you want and reshoot it. or vice versa. Cut off the tails and save them. Shoot the new mhead colllor into the mold. (Cut off those tails)..Reheat the tail color you like and shoot the rest of the mold. Personally, if I did not have the mold I would just "Spike it."
