Default go big on the eyes

If I can I will usually opt for very large eyes on baits when eyes are requested. This shad bait usually will see 4mm eyes but this morning I stepped out on the infamous limb and went real big while playing with the mold. These are 6mm eyes from Do-It's eye line-up.

On this shad body the eyes fit real nice and make the bait look just plain mad. The overall length of this bait is 3", the body being 1/2 of the overall length. I had to put paper towel across the tails to keep the bodies from rolling with these eyes on them. The eyes used here normally go on my frogs and toads but I'm thinking these eyes work will here too.

Here are a couple more only with large gold eyes. The sun really makes these colors go nuts.

Size: 13.8 KB can this be done with the top being green, the middle in chartruse and the bottom in red w/black flakes? I think
the large eyes in gold would stand out real good. 100 of 'em would fit in my little tackle box real well if I can afford 'em. PM welcome. You can name them anything
you want too. The colors would work great for me. Thanks.

I'm still really green when it comes to making baits so I have a few questions, where do you get your eyes and how do you inject them in to your baits?

I get my eyes from www.bogbaits.com These are 6mm eyes shown on these baits. For smaller baits I use 3 and 4 mm eyes. They are stick-on and after applying I dip the entire body of the bait into a clear dip of plastic.

I added 5mm eyes to this 3.5" Caney creation, now Do-It. These eyes are 3D and really stand off the body of the bait. Love the three colors in them. At 5 mm these eyes are "just right" for this size of bait.

The bellies and black are hand poured while the top colors are injected. The top colors are those that have been seen here on other baits lately.
