    Default Another transition bait

Here's another Nano shot in a more natural looking color scheme. The throat patch is a simple black while the belly is still a simple thin pearl color. The tail and back are done in a thin baby bass with just a mite of brown. Green and red .015 glitters are in it along with some green hi lite to juice up the color. These are done in both red and gold eyes for some variety.

The sun here makes this back color seem almost a dirty chartreuse but it really is like the one red-eyed bait on the far right that sits vertically. In the hand these are a beautiful mellow green.

Ctom you got me itching! I ordered this mold other day when you made your first post. I think I am going to really like this thing.

JohnPaul....It shoots really easy. Great mold, great bait. If you are going to do split colors like I have done here, do yourself a favor and use an old teaspoon for pouring the belly. Works like a charm. Take up just enough plastic to drop in one cavity and be sure to wipe the spoon's bottom on the lip of the cup before you go to the mold.

Transparents are simple. You just don't add as much colorant to the plastic when you batch it out. You can take a small bowl of raw plastic, kick in some stabilizer and then add a few pieces of an opaque color, heat it and it will come out transparent as long as you don't go overboard with the color chunks you add. The colors shown were made with a drop of colorant in 3 ounces and if I needed to get more strength to the color I just barely dipped a toothpick in the color and stirred it in. The colors are all Do-It's X2 except the Chameleon which took four drops and is an M-F color.
