    Default question for you guys

how many of you guys use swim baits. also what would like to know how many of you are using hand-tied jigs and are you buying them from a private source or should I say custom or are you hand tying your own.

question to the above on how many of you use either plastic baits or hand tied jigs 99% of the time. also do you use crappie nibbles or some other bait with the combination of plastics or hand-tied jigs.

Not sure what classifies as a swim bait. I use BGBS, and Slab Bandits. Also use a lot of hand tied jigs, tied by me. I use one or the other all the time. Nibbles once a blue moon.

question about the nibbles do you find them quite helpful when the fish are not striking how do you like the slab bandits. would you use a similar plastic bait to what you mentioned .

Haven't really noticed the nibbles helping. Slab Bandits are great a little tougher than a BG! I don't wear out a bandit I usually loose it.

Use my own hand tied hair jigs. Use BG and Super Jigs plastics and I pump my super Jigs with crappie nibbles using "The Bait Pump" made by our very own Louisiana forum member Slab Hunter.

Have some plastics that look like a fat minnow, don't know that they're considered a swim bait.

Yes, use a lot of hand tied jigs and I tie them myself. Split between hand tied and plastics are 95% hand tied , 5% plastics unless they're creaming plastics then the %'s change.

Once in a great while with hand tied I'll use a piece of night crawler, and with hollow plastics I'll stick a piece of Alka Seltzer inside get it working so it leaves a bubble trail behind the bait.

Yes....I use hand tied jigs, also gnats, and I do use crappie nibbles sometimes. Slab Bandits are tough...I like them a lot. Crazy Angler has some good baits.

I use the swim baits, jigs and spoons that I personally make. They are of the best and finest quality here on c.com and I personally approve of them. Name: Money Fry.jpg

I lke the plastic that the Slab Bandits and Crawler's are made of.....soft but tough.....you can catch 40-50 fish on the one jig befrore it even thinks about tearing.
