Ya, ya, ya....i know, this is a crappie board but hey sometimes a guy has to grow a little.

The walleyes have been on a non-stop tear on the Mississippi River up in this area and everyone is shouting firecracker/chartreuse tail as the so after church this morning I sat down and did some playing. Both the standard firecracker and the purple firecracker have been hot so I came up with a hybrid cross between the two colors and added the all important chartreuse tail in a standard transparent chartreuse with just a pinch of violet hi lites. I added copper glitter to the green, blue and purple instead of silver. To make it at least sort of purple I popped in some violet hi lites here too and bingo.......





Now off to heat up the lead and cast a few heads for a much needed fishing adventure this Friday. I shot about 60 of these baits, enough for my buddy and I to feed the ever present snags and still have a few left over to try and tempt some crappies later on. For now though....these are walleye fodder.
