Pics look great! I made a photo light tent a couple years ago for taking pics of tied jigs. I never figured out what bulbs were the best to use! Nice baby bass.

broke out the photo booth trying to get some better pics with no shadows or anything in the background. I am getting closer but still have a little tweaking to do trying to get the background whiter. If you selling what you make good pics is a must in my book. I want to get this worked out and redo all my bait pics to be the same

In our government-controlled schools we are taught that Lincoln was our greatest president because his war ended slavery and saved the Union. As usual, the other side of the story – the side that reflects poorly on the government – somehow gets lost. – Richard J. Maybury, The Abe Lincoln Hoax
This is one I made a while back. I used Daylight fluorescent bulbs and a cardboard box. The spotlight shades and bulbs came from WallyWorld. I plugged my digital camera into the laptop so I can preview the pics. Makes some well balanced pics of jigs with minimal shadows.

Really nice pics! For color correction get a white/grey calibration card at the local camera store and put that in the picture. Then in your photo editing software you can color balance correctly (most of the time!). Most (if not all) digital cameras look for a white and grey area when taking a picture to calculate exposure, color level, balance etc.
To take it to the next level you need to color calibrate your monitor...but it probably doesn't matter unless you are printing...because 99.9% of all the folks looking at the pic probably have not calibrated their monitor! But if your monitor is way off you'll wonder why you can't ever seem to "get it right" when you look at the pic on different monitors. I use the Spyder ....they have a few "reasonable" cost versions.
Wow great info dabebr, that's what
Ames this site so great!

Just my opinion, but I think those jigs would POP on clean black felt. You loose a lot IMHO, especially on those transluscent colors, on white. I'm not a photographer or sale my product either though.
Then again, the black may bleed through on some of the more transluscent ones......heck it may be worth a shot though. I know Id certainlly like to see those chartruse and blue ones on black. They'd shine like new pennies I bet.
