    Default Silicone cups pros/con

Thinking about try'n some silicone cups just wondering who uses them and what's the good, bad, and ugly about them. I heard they hold heat longer. I know they are supposed to be easier to poor. Where is the best place to get them and what brands to look for?
    Thanks for the help

I don't use the cups, but I only do small quantities of baits. I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and got a set of silicone egg poachers. They are very flexible and you can squeeze the tip down as tight or loose as you want to get the pour rate you desire.

I like them because they hold the heat a LOT better...and won't explode like some other cups have been known to do. I bought mine at Target..but they were a lot taller (bigger) than I wanted ....and too top heavy....so I cut them down to a 2 cup size. Since they don't have handles...When you cut them down...cut a tab above one edge to help in grabbing them out of the microwave without getting your (gloved!!!!!!) fingers in 350 plastic!!! Even with the gloves on it can be "less than pleasant!".

Make sure the cups say that they are design for high heat.

Amazon has a bunch of options.

baitman uses them. I have asked how he hand pours in such small cavity open molds and he said he uses the silicone cups. I think he said get them from ebay, even had a pic posted. I would like to see pics of what you use Dabehr and anyone else who has pics please post so we can see options.
