Default video + choosing the right plastic

choosing the right plastic can depend on lot, type of bait, how its fished and even where its fished. Going to a super soft or soft gives a bait great action in cold water but there is always a trade off to that and its usually prone to ripping or tearing on a jig head. You can combat this by using a high grade plastic or super glueing your bait to the head of the jig. Glueing works very well!! I have used a lot of plastics but none perform as well for me as caney creek plastic. I have ZERO bubble when cooked in a micro. I can put 2 cups in it and cook it all the way with no stirring and it comes out crystal clear and ready for dipping or injecting. It does cost more than other brands but for me its worth the extra cost. I actually use less because of less waste from yellowing or burning like some of the other brands I use. I also seems to cook faster than other brands. I have been around awhile doing this and have used everything from lureworks (all types) bears (ultra, chemtronics and calhouns) I really liked the ultra but the baits became so oily over time it was unacceptable) MF plastics. I have found that FOR ME the Caney Creek Medium give me the best product for action and durability I have found and I dont think I will go back to any other brands. Customer service is also excellent even for us panfish guys.(you dont get that everywhere unless your a bass guy)

Wow now I'm even more excited about getting in my order after watching that video. I've ordered stuff from you in the past and loved all of it, but I was wondering if you had changed the plastic for the newer baits with eyes.

Not really worried about problems or anything, just curious as to whether or not you may have improved your stuff even more. Everything from Microspoons that I have tried so far works fantastic, so I'm sure the newer stuff will too.

Thank you, yes we have just recently changed the plastic we use in the last couple of weeks. In the past we would find one we liked then it would no longer be available (ultra) then find another and then it was unavailable (ultra) but with this stuff, they make it so we dont have to depend on someone 2 or 3 steps away from the manufacture so hopefully it will be around for many years to come.

That is a nice video Keith. Those baits have great tail action and look superb.

yes I hate a tacky plastic, makes it harder to keep tails straight when your laying them out to cure.
