Default What hand injector do you use

I'm getting ready to buy a hand injector and I have seen quite a few different ones. Is there one better than the other as far as quality? I have been using a medical syringe and believe it or not it works for a little while. Thanks in advance guys.

I have been looking at some on line. I hope I can find a used metal one soon - small size. People, pm me if you have one for sale. I did not know you could use syringes. Isn't that dangerous? I am just getting started with injection techniques. Hope to do my first one in about ten days. Perhaps Snake River or Baitman can answer you or others on this forum with more experience.

I prefer basstackle's injectors personally. Well built injectors that have held up to my abuse. Top that off with free shipping and you cant go wrong. So you can get a small one to your door for $49. But i would pay the extra $10 and get the medium injector that way you can shoot multiple molds!

it is true about the above saying that syringes are dangerous most of them are plastic and if you apply too much pressure they will explode shooting hot plastic all over the place and will cause severe burns on you so I just suggest very strongly that you do not use them at all Only use metal injectors the ones that you can buy from a good supplier look at the picture I enclosed this is the only one that I use for shooting my plastic baits.

That is what I thought Bob. The photo is like the one I was looking at on Jacobs baits. Thanks for the photo.

I have never used the metal injectors BUT I have shot several gallon thru the nylon reusable syringes that vet's use and TRUST ME THEY CAN STAND THE HEAT. They are designed so the vet's can take them out of the package, use them, clean them out, sterilize then in a autoclave sterilizer and use them again. They won't hold a ton of plastic at a time but they suit my needs and you can get them at the local farm store. If you dont shoot a ton of baits at a time then these might be a options for yea...Good Fishin'...

This is a wonderful thread. Thank you for the information Paul, Cf, Bob and others. It is so helpful for a beginner like me to read threads like this. Does anyone have any tips on using hand held injectors they wish to post here.
