Crappieseeker said it all. It is to me!

Studies show that even those great bass fishermen with all their high powered boats and equipment still have greater fun on a relaxing day of crappie fishing. We all remember our roots and return to just the joy and fun of panfishing. I am a crappie fisherman and darn proud of it!

when I was bass fishing a lot in casting crank baits all day it was nothing better than in the afternoon to pull up a sunken tree and fish for property there wasn't anything more relaxing to me than fishing for them we started out fishing for them when I was very young at the age of three I caught my first crappie as my uncle told me he was the one that started me out and fishing and I think him for doing this I've had great many years on riverbanks in lakes we consider the crappie number one for me I do not fish for bass too much anymore I put my full fishing abilities to crappie we started out like I say at three years old we have a great many years behind us I can't tell you how many good times and I've had with my friends over the years most of them are gone now and we would cherish the memories with them fishing for crappie.

Crappie fishing is a rapidly increasing sport..........lots of tournaments now and it continues to grow....its number one with me right now but I do think it will be tops in the fishing world before too many more years.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I don't know about the country as a whole, but I did read an article from the Oklahoma Dept. of Wildlife that said some years bass fishing is #1 here, and some years it is crappie fishing. I would guess that bass fishing is #1 in the nation, but crappie fishing is a close second.

Personally, I'll take a few tasty slabs over the rest any day of the week!
