Default Just wanted to see what you guys think

This is my version of the stinger. They are about 1.5" and I would advise anybody who has not tried a stinger style lure to find one! I have been fishing in lots of places where people said the fishing is bad today and catch a nice limit. I have even went behind boats leaving docks and not see them catch anything and steady reel crappie in. The new shed mold some of you guys are using looks great and should CATCH'EM!Name: New Image4.jpg

Thanks!! I make tons of colors in this style. I cant pour them half and half like most of the guys here because I dont use a mold... I have been making stingers for about 6 years without a mold and it does take a little more time to pour and the size is never exact. Some may be a bit longer than others but the crappie dont seem to mind much. I thought about having a mold made so I could pour faster but I have been doing it my way so long that if I use a mold it will be the shed mold. They are so close to my baits that it was a bit disturbing when I seen them because for years I thought I made a one of a kind lure and now I can spend about $150 and make the same bait almost but they will be the exact length every time and I could make a bigger selection of colors. Thanks for the repy snake. They are "killer"! I have plano boxes full of those in several colors and its really the only thing I ever use to fish with. All pan fish, bass, and even cats slam em.

I suggest that you keep right on making them the same way that you have for many years and I do commend you for ingenuity on making your own style of plastic baits do not feel bad my friend every major plastic maker that has come up with the design sooner or later will be copied I can't tell you how many times that some of my ideals have wound up in the industry but that just the thing in the way things go in the industry so us people that do the hard work of designing something that really works good will usually get copied sooner or later English you put a patent pending on them it will get stolen I for one cannot afford to put patent pending on everything that I come up with but I do get the enjoyment of designing plastic baits and also other fishing lures for many years I've been doing this I guess that I get my pride and glory from seeing something that I have done wound up with the big boys so I consider myself achieving something that means something to me I guess I should've started many years ago but of course we do not think about this in our younger years but I will say this that I come to this site which means an awful lot to me and we do enjoy helping everybody out so keep up the good work and continued to build your plastic baits the way you always have the best to you if you need any information at all please let me know we will gladly help you and if you are looking to have a mold build please let me know we will send you to the right people.

Man thanks alot! That means something coming from another successful tackle maker such as yourself. It is a great feeling to hear someone commend your work! people in my area go crazy over the stuff I make for them and its always great to hear someone brag on what they caught using your jigs. There is not much if any type of fresh water fish we have not caught with my jigs. My girlfriend even got a giant carp out of dodge county PFA using a black on blue. We only use 4lb or smaller test line on micro graphite rods. Could you imagine the fight? It took her 22 minutes and she felt like Mike Iaconelli with all the people clapping and yelling in the boats circling us to see what she had hooked into!

Thanks stump! there are lots of stories to be told. I love to fish and I got my girlfriend hooked also. I showed her how to use a jig and there is no stopping her now! We call our boat the Crappie bandit and if I say anything about fishing she runs out the door with the jig box and poles before I can even get my boots on...
