I have been dock shooting for about 12-14 yrs and just recently tried with a float, man if the dock isnt 6ft off the water I dont stand a chance, float seems to "fly" up. sometimes I feel I can hit a keyhole with my 1/32 ozers but I give up with a float.

@ justanothjoe......I don't get to dock shoot a lot, my home lake has no docks on it & most lakes I frequent have none either.....so when I get the chance I jump....I have honestly always shot them with a very small float & a 80th head, but I'm still learning....I enjoy shooting docks when I get the chance.....

man that would be awesome.....Id like to fish w/some one who actually knows how to shoot docks, im a hack at it honestly.....but wait...no floats ........ha ha ha, we may head south in the spring if things go right....would love to put jr (and my self) on some of them southern slabs

we went out today and did somthing we NEVER do......we took one box with slip floats, split shots & hooks, 2 fishing rods and a bucket of minnows....no trolling rods/racks.....no cranks...no jigs/jig heads....just the basics....we sat on some brush and caught the heck out of them, nothing huge but we had some solid fish.....was a nice change of pace from the usual for us....back to the basics I guess....but was pretty fun to watch the ole slip float slowly head for the deeps.....was fun to watch jr having such a good time....he kept me out way past my bed time (midnights), but he didnt have to twist my arm to bad ha ha ha....any how sorry SNAKE no plastic reports ha ha , but we sure did have a good time, have a great one all, God bless!!
