thanks for the info, and I sure know what it feels like to get burnt with it. I burnt my hand pretty good with it once, and trust me, it was not fun. I have never used the pots before, but I might order one later on. I normally use the pyrex cup and pour it in to my injector and then shoot. I will have to check out those videos.

because the thermostat control on the pot are not accurate. That's why you use a thermal meter because they are very accurate.

I have let white plastic stir for an hour with no problems. One thing on filling the injector, some of the plastic pours like water and will run out of the injector when you remove it from the pot. It could be dangerous. If you order it from bear (plastic) be sure to ask him about this. You want a thicker pouring plastic something close to MF plastic. One thing you do want is full body armor. Gloves (bear has some great ones) long shirt and some face protection. Melting out at 350* it wont come off until it cools, so keep cool water close to where you are pouring just encase you have a mishap. Trust me, you don't want this stuff on you. Bear has some videos on youtube if you would like to see the pot in operation and how to fill the injectors. You will need some ventilation removing the smoke that you will have due to melting in larger quantities. The presto pots thermostats are pretty close on the temps so just set it at 340 to 350 and you will be good to go.
you are just about right on the money on the setting of the pot thermostat 340 to 350 is pretty close. It varies on the ones that I have we been up to over 360 and have to turn them back. That's why I use a thermal meter to make darn sure.
